Weather, other than real estate, one of our favourite go-to conversations, wouldn’t you agree? We have sat around many campfires and can give testimony to these habitual topics as they hit both my profession and my husbands. For my part, I am a self-proclaimed weather nerd and wannabe storm chaser. Let’s be real, we talk about the weather umpteen times a day and never more so than when there is a pending storm.
HHC is making good use of our resident Meteorologist and Crew member, Serge. We like to be active with warnings and share our preparedness mind set. Your safety and protection of your investment, your property is of utmost concern to us. In the past, we have provided alerts and updates via social media posts, checking in and leaving something useful in the event of a power outage to folk in areas forecasted to be most affected.
Hurricane season is upon us and the news says that it will be a busy one in the Atlantic. Perhaps 17-25 storms. No need to panic but weather nerds like us are on the alert. You don’t need to be a weather expert to have noticed that hurricanes have been increasing contact sport with Atlantic Canada. Their plays can be dodgy but when the punch is landed we want to be prepared. “BE PREPARED”. You are the first defence of your property.
HHC would like to share with you tool kits for emergency preparedness, checklists, and contact numbers for assistance. We have created a downloadable file and if you wish to receive “HHC Be Prepared” in the mail, please contact us. Check in with us facebook and instagram we will alert on potential big events.
Considering moving to an area on or near a body of water? Many have that dream. It offers peace, tranquility, loads of fun AND potential harm to person and property if the weather is nasty. At HHC we discuss the risk potential, offering our experience in the discovery process. Being educated and informed is top priority in a house search. But that’s another story . . .
